I was debating whether or not to post this picture but since it was taken on the weekend it is rather current. I meant to post earlier last week so that it would be more current however, time is flying by and before I knew it it was Friday. At that point I had Jamie take a picture with the goal of posting it sometime on the weekend. Hooray for accomplishing my goal!
WOW! What a busy weekend we have had. It really didn't feel like a weekend because of all the activity we had planned. However, it just means that this week is going to be a tough one with fighting tiredness, fatigue, and energy. I must say that it is rather frustrating for me to adjust to how much energy is needed to "house" a child for 9 months. I was so capable of functioning on little sleep or weeks full of activities and now when I have a busy day/week I am completely drained. It has been a true challenge for me. Another pregnancy thing that happened to me yesterday was by evening my feet swelled more than usual. I could not feel my ankle bones! It was the weirdest thing. I was not impressed with my fat feet and ankles but by morning the swelling had gone down. I suppose that happens however, not impressed at all. I don't want to even imagine how BIG they might eventually get as the due date creeps closer.
This past week Jamie and I took another step closer to the reality that we are going to be parents. We finally ordered a crib and dresser/change table combo! I must say it was exciting to finally do it but at the same time it was a bit weird to think that we were actually buying baby furniture. Both of our parents gave us money so that we could buy furniture for this little one! It is quite special to have parents that have such giving hearts! Thank you guys for helping us out in this way. It is such a special gift!!! We really appreciate it!
This coming week I have my next midwife appointment. Jamie is coming to this appointment! Yay, I am so excited that he is coming. He will be able to hear the heartbeat for real (instead of by a recording over a cell phone) and be able to ask any of his own questions that he has. I will update you all after the appointment and let you know how things are going.

Thanks for the update Meg. You look amazing. you are glowing, I don't blame you cause YOU ARE HAVING A BABY! I'm pretty pumped for you :)
You have to take photos of the new furniture so that we can all see it, or just invite us over haha, just kidding.
Nice picture Megs! And thanks for the update! I love reading your blog and catching up on what you are thinking about being pregnant....I was just scrapbooking last night and looking at the picture I took of you and Jamie right after you told us at the Christmas Dinner table that you were pregnant!! And now here you, 'great with child' as Dave says! The weeks are going by so fast......it won't be long until we will all be able to hold this little one in our arms and you won't get 'fat feet' anymore! ;-)
Meg, I love to see any and every picture you post as the wee one grows! That is exciting that you guys got to buy baby furniture, I agree with Courtney that you should post some pictures of it. I am sorry that you are experiencing the swelling of the feet, probably a good thing that you don't live in Texas because it was suppose to get to 97 today and it felt every bit that hot.
bye for now,
Jody
