As promised here are some of the pictures from beginning to end of what the nursery looks like. Jamie and Heather painted the room one week day night in one sitting. It only took them a couple of hours! They were quite impressed with themselves that they were able to finish it off in one night. As you can tell this room was quite bare before we added the splash of color.
Thanks Heather for taking the time to help us out.
So, here is the finished product! It turned out so good. We are very happy with it and now we can say we have a place for the little one to sleep when we bring him home.
The crib and dresser/change table came in boxes. Jamie tackled the product of putting them together and I must say he was rather successful and did a great job. He was able to get his man tools out and use them for the first time. He was so proud of himself.
Thanks to both of our parents for wanting to buy this furniture for their grandchild. Its a great gift and one that will be used over and over.
For those of you who are trying to figure out what our bedding looks like; here's a close up. The actual bedding is called "Silver Lining". It is a Noah's Ark theme and it has the cutest little animals. There is many different textures from satin to flannel. When Jamie and I saw it we knew that this is what we wanted. It was not even hard to convince him. I was shocked.
So, we are getting closer to being able to say we are ready to bring this baby home. There are still a few things that we need to get but for the most part we are there.
Thanks to everyone that has helped us get the essentials we need. It has been so fun and it is great to know that we have friends and family out there that are willing and eager to help.
