When I chose to go off on maternity leave a bit early I was encouraged to keep myself busy by doing some projects. So one of those projects was painting our family room and kitchen. Here is the before shot......
and of course then here is the after shot. We decided to go with a more bold color or colors than what we had orginally thought. We are so happy that we did. We think that it turned out great. Thanks to Heather and Mama B for coming and helping us complete this project in only two days.
As some of you can probably guess this is Tikka, Heather and Matt's baby. They were going camping for a couple of days to Kelowna and asked if we could look after her. It was perfect. She had a fully fenced yard to run around in and a covered porch to sit on when it rained. She even found this lawn chair to claim as her own and use to sit and sleep in. She was quite fun to have around. She really liked our apple tree and decided that she needed to take at least 5 apples off of the tree and strategically place them around the backyard. The only downfall to that was that then she could figure out which green thing was her tennis ball or an apple. Great amusement I must say.
Of course then we had two watch dogs at our home because Max felt it was his duty to keep a watchful and careful eye on the dog at all times. So he would sit here on the window and keep on eye on things. In the beginning it was nice because wherever the cat was looking I knew that Tikka would be. If I looked and the cat was not on his window watching then I knew it was time to go looking for the dog to see if she was getting herself into trouble. I don't think Max was so impressed with the fact that the company at his home but it sure made for good laughs.

I love the paint job! Great choice of colors and it warms up those rooms! Very nice even if I do say so myself(I didn't really paint that much...you three did most of the work!)
The new colors look great, a change of paint can do so much for a room. You are looking great and very ready to have a baby! My heart is fluttering with excitement as the day draws nearer, I am so excited to meet this little guy that is going to be a part of our family.
and another...how do you do those collage pics? Is it through Picasso? Thanks for your help
Hey Meg, the kitchen looks great. So nice of you to choose one of my favorite colors :) Tikka looks great on that chair. Sure you don't need a dog?
