A Mother's Heart.....

Who would have thought that a tiny bundle that just eats, sleeps, and poops could come invade my life and capture my heart in such a way that just makes my heart melt. Most of the things that he does brings a huge smile to my face but there are special things that just make my heart melt. My heart melts watching Jamie interacting with his little boy. Aidan gives him such great smiles and you can just tell that he loves his daddy so much. He might be a momma's boy but he sure feels safe and secure with his daddy too. Watching Jamie' grandma enjoying her first great grandchild was very special as well. Aidan enjoyed talking with her and giving her great smiles as well. I look forward to my grandpa getting to meet Aidan for the first time this Christmas.
Aidan and I enjoy lots of special moments together as well but one of the things that we have begun to do is talking to one another. I think that he enjoys hearing himself talk but he has also begun to mimic noises that I make as well. Usually this happens after he eats. We sit together and he tells me lots of stories. My heart sure melts when he smiles at me and tells me a story at the same time.
I am beginning to recognize that I need to cherish the small moments that I get with this little gift from God. He sure is a gift like everything else in my life and for that that makes my heart melt even more...

Awesome pictures Megs! And Grandma even has her eyes open! I think my camera's flash is the problem with the closed eyes....Glad you had a good time with Grandma yet for lunch yesterday before she headed for home! So fun!

Megan - they still do that when they are almost 19 - it's an amazing thing!

We're so glad you are having fun with Aidan. So, he's becoming quite the talker! Are you working on Nana and Papa? We'll have to help him with that while he's here:) WE can't wait!

Megan & Jamie,
What a delight it is to hear that you are both enjoying the season. Time with babies, children or anyone else is the key. What a neat special relationship you have already. We are so blessed to hear your stories of Aidan and your lives together. Thanxs again! Looking forward to seeing you all soon. Keep helping Aidan with the phonics. Its pronounced Pa....Pa...
Love, Dad..............
