Well, to add to the winter craziness that seems to have struck our town, this is Jamie, blogging for the second time in my life. I'm on my second snow day, so I might as well do something productive. For those of you that haven't heard, it's been a pretty wild couple of days in an area that usually freaks out with an inch of snow. Sunday, at around noon we started to get a little bit of snow. No problems, we thought that we should still brave it and head out to my parents for our weekly Sunday dinner. The drive there was pretty sketchy, but doable. Well, three hours and a foot of snow later, we realized that we should probably head home. Too late! We
were stuck, couldn't even get out of my parent's road, so we decided to camp out there for the night. This is when we realized that having a baby changes things. What's the one thing a child can't run out of? Diapers! And we only had four left. So that's where the bottom picture came in. We ended up reliving my childhood memories, walking past my old elementary school and to my favorite corner store growing up. Only this time, instead of buying hockey cards, we were buying what we referred to as the "golden diapers". Reasonably priced at $1/diaper for a pack of 20. It sure was a fun walk though, slogging through snow up to our knees and
watching cars get stuck on the hills. Finally Monday morning, after two feet of snow, a night of adventure sleeping in my old bed and dressing Aidan in some crazy pink sleeper that my mom had kicking around the house, we managed to brave the slippery roads, make it home, and enjoy the wonderful view of the snowy mountains out our back window. Winter craziness at it's best!

Way to go Jamie! I kept checking your blog for pictures and you didn't disappoint! Abbotsford has more snow than either Calgary or Saskatoon, but boy is it cold here! Can hardly wait to get home tomorrow......to more snow!
