It has been a rather busy last couple of weeks. This past weekend Jamie had a bball tournament that kept him rather busy. Aidan and I decided to make it to most of the games. Aidan did so well in the gym. He truly seems to enjoy spending time in the gym. He loves watching the boys run up and down the court with the ball and when he gets bored with that he flirts with the females. There are a couple of moms that have taken a liking to Aidan and so he even spends time with them.
At one point during one of the games, the other team wa shooting a free throw and the whole gym was quiet and all of a sudden Aidan decided it was a perfect time to start talking. The kid missed his free throw and Aidan was having a good time. Right before that happened Jamie was talking to his boys on the bench telling them that they weren't allowed to deliberately make any kinds of noises that would distract the player making the free throws. And then his own son decided to make lots of noise. It was quite amusing. By the way, Jamie's team won the tournament!
Last night, Jamie was playing with Aidan and found that he was cutting a tooth! That's right folks, our 5 month old little boy is getting his first tooth. It is on the bottom left side. It has already broken through the skin and is quite sharp. It must have just come through in the last day because on the weekend it wasn't there. He hasn't seemed anymore fussy than usual so I wasn't even thinking he could be cutting a tooth. Shows how much I know!
Last night we also started rice cereal! He did so good! Much better than the last time. Hardly any of the cereal came back out. He really seemed to enjoy it. I know that Fraser Health says that you should wait until 6 months before giving rice cereal but our doctor said before Christmas that Aidan could start on rice ceral at 4 months. So, I decided to split the difference and start at 5.

It's so funny to think about your blog pre-Aidan. I laugh just thinking about those of us that write about silly things from our lives and then when a baby enters the picture there is a lot more to say, more interesting too I'm sure.
Thanks for posting. Your son sure is cute. He seems to be getting cuter and cuter each picture you post.
So many new things.....cute hair growing on top of his head, a new tooth, rice cereal and learning how to be a real cheerleader! Right down to distracting the other team! Way to Go Aidan!
And I agree with Courtney, thanks for posting all those cute pictures!
I can't believe how big he is getting, I think I say that with each comment, but it doesn't make it any less true. Please pass on the congratulations to Jamie on his team winning the tournament, such a change from previous years. That is really funny about Aidan making noise at just the "right" time, oh the joys of being the coach's son.
