Enjoying the Sunshine....

Aidan and I have been trying to enjoy the sunny afternoons the last couple of days. Today we went for a good walk and then took out his big boy bike and sat in the grass waiting for daddy to get home from work. He was quite taken with his big toy. He kept talking and smiling at it. I have to say that it has been so fun watching Aidan grow. It feels just like yesterday when he was a newborn and I found joy in just holding him. Now we have a different level of fun.

We have been rather busy this week. We went to our second mom's group this week. It was a fun time. I was able to meet a couple more mom's and enjoy the company of other women. I find that some weeks I need more adult interaction than others. So, I think that whenver I can I will try to make a point to go. (Thanks Carly!) I was a bit bummed that I would be missing the paska party because my family will be here. I had thought that this year I would try to learn how to make paska because it is such a tradition for so many here. I, however, didn't grow up with it but I do like it so that I figure that is good enough reason to learn how to make it. I'll have to get the recipe and try on my own.
I also have been rather busy trying to clean the house in time for my family's arrival. My parents and brother will be coming tomorrow and spending a week with us. I am so excited to have them come. They haven't seen Aidan since Christmas so it is time for them to spend some quality time with him. It will be a fun time for sure. With cleaning I have decided to organize and purge our closets because we have a tendancy to hoard things for years before throwing things out. This week alone I have taken 5-6 bags to MCC. Its quite a liberating feeling to get rid of stuff.

good for you for being able to throw things away, I kinda cringed when you said how many bags you took. I'm a pack rat and love to keep things...I always feel there is a reason and I might need it later...when that is? I'm not sure and jon asks often haha
hope to see you at ball on saturday

Meg,
We're so sorry we weren't able to make it to church last night. I hope it was lovely. I was hoping to make it work because we had dinner plans but I wasn't able to swing both in the same evening.
It was great to see you yesterday, have a great week with your folks.
