I sit here this morning exhausted. For some random reason Aidan decided it would be fun to wake up at 5:48am. I fed him and then put him back to bed because that was just too early to be up. He stayed in bed until 7am but he was awake the whole time. Of course, I didn't sleep any of that time either. I really hope this is not going to be a regular accurance. I can't even figure out why he decided to wake up then. Oh well, I guess it's not the end of the world. However, at 5:48am it felt like it.
When my family was here my mom ended up giving Aidan one of my spatulas and he loved it. It seems to be his new toy. As you can tell its not one of my better one's so it has become his. It's really funny watching him bite on it. He even took it on our walk yesterday. Speaking of our walk; when we were over half way through I realized that we were missing a blanket. This was no good because it meant that I had to backtrack back up the big hill I was already half way down. So, back up the hill we went.....I figured that it couldn't be too far but as we kept going it was nowhere to be seen. I was beginning to get upset because this particular blanket was a homemade gift. (No mom, it wasn't the quilt) I kept hoping that around the next corner I would see it. I finally saw it...I had lost it at the beginning of our walk. Thankfully it was on a lawn and not in the road. I can't believe that I didn't notice it when it fell off. Did I mention that I am terribly sore?????
HE CAN CRAWL!!!!!When he wants to he can do it! When he go's after a toy he will only crawl as much as he has to get to the toy. He still has to concentrate to put one hand in front of the other and correlate the appropriate leg but it is coming. I suppose it's about time to get a baby gate to put at the top of the stairs.
Last night Aidan and Daddy had a bath. The results of the bath was a pretty cute mohawk. They had quite the fun time during bathtime. When you hear them both laughing and talking you know that they are having a good time.

Who invented toys anyways? Kids will always rather play with something that's yours. When we visited Chris and Julene in '05 Paet was about 15 months old and was having a bad day ... so I gave him Julene's pastry brush and he was content for over an hour just brushing everthing in the house. Goodbye pastry brush, but cheap toy! Natalie likes to play with anything in my makeup bag ... what a girl!
He is such a cutie! Thanks for posting all the pictures Megs! While I am travelling I go to your blog at least once a day to get my 'Aidan fix'!!See you all when I get back!
