Enjoying the Sun and Friends

I think I mentioned before that Aidan loves to sip the slurps of our pop cans. He doesn't get that much pop but he sure thinks he does. Whenever he hears us opening a can he is ready with his mouth open for his slurp. It is the funniest thing.

We have been having a good week. The weather has been absolutely beautiful for spending time outside. Aidan seems to really enjoy being outside. We went for a walk earlier in the week and then he sat in the yard as I water our shrubs and flowers. I tried to spray him lightly with the hose but he didn't like it so much.
Yesterday we met the First Mom's group at Mill Lake for a walk. It was really sunny and Aidan kept taking off his hat. Finally, I stopped fighting with him. When we had gone half way around the second time I noticed that his hat wasn't in the stroller with him. I couldn't believe it because I had been keeping track of the things he was dropping out. We turned around to see if we could find it laying on the trail. We made it back to where we started without finding his hat. I was so bummed because it was my favorite hat of his. He looked so cute in it. On top of that, it is his only hat! grrrrrrr! Now I have to go find a replacement. So, if anyone knows where I could find a infant adidas baseball cap, please let me know.

Every evening this week we have had friends over for dinner. My friend Tiffany came for dinner and the "Bachelor" on Monday. We always have good times together. We laugh so much together; it's great. Tuesday we had our College and Career life group here. Not everyone showed up but for the guys that did come we had some really good discussion based from 1 &2 Peter. Then last night we had Const. Shawn T for dinner. We hadn't seen Shawn for quite some time. We figured that the last time was when I was around 20 weeks pregnant! Man, that was a long time ago. It was so neat to spend some quality time with. Thanks for coming Shawner.(gotta love the wonderful ability of cropping:)
Aidan has been talking lots this week. He makes sounds that Jamie and I cannot duplicate. It really sounds like he is talking. Of course he knows what he is saying but we sure don't. We love it though. We definitely can tell that he is going to be our talker. He loves to hear himself now. When he was in the bath the other night he was just talking away to his toys and to whoever would listen. Jamie took a video clip of it but I am having difficulty downloading it and attaching it to my blog. One of these days I will get it.

I hate losing things and not realizing it - especially your favorite things of the kids. Hope you find a replacement.

Hi Megan,
I think this is the 6th time I've tried leaving a message. I really should have Jay, Ben or Amanda down here!
I have so enjoyed going through your site. Your mom gave me your account a couple of weeks ago.
Aidan is absolutely adorable and it's pretty obvious that you and Jamie are thoroughly enjoying him. I'm a little surprised that your folks haven't moved!!
I'm happy that you got a job where you'll be able to work from home - what a blessing! God is good!
News at the Lynch's - Ben is graduating! So you know what life is like around here - busy, busy, busy!
Take care, Megan. God bless you, Jamie and that sweet little boy!
Love ya,
Janet

Megan,
Mother's Day. What a strange thing to think about in the same breath as your own little girl. Motherhood fits you well. You obviously enjoy Aidan and love being the Mom that God created you to be. We couldn't be more delighted for you and Jamie. Continue to enjoy each season, as they all seem to pass so quickly. Thanks for letting us capture these great glimpses of you and your family and life. Can't wait to see you. Love, Papa.........
