I can't believe that it has taken me two days to post pictures of the birthday boy. It has been such a busy weekend but a fun one for sure. On Friday we gave Aidan his birthday presents. I must say that trying to choose what to get him proved to somewhat of a challenge. In the end, we decided to get him a train table along with a Thomas the Tank Engine Beginner Set. Whenever we had taken Aidan into Toys R Us he would stare longingly at the trains so Jamie thought it would be fun to start him with a toy that we could continue to add too. The sports center that you see in the first couple of pictures was a toy that we saw first and when Jamie saw it he decided that Aidan NEEDED it.

The sports center that you see here was a toy we saw before deciding on the train and Jamie decided that Aidan NEEDED it. Jamie was thrilled to get Aidan his first basketball hoop. Aidan really enjoys playing with it. Everytime he makes a basket the toy plays a song. Adian starts to dance to the music. It is really rather cute.

Here he is the morning of his birthday playing with his very first Thomas the Tank Engine. I think that he really likes it but he doesn't always like to play with it on the train table and tracks. Thomas has gone with us in the car and everwhere else. Hopefully it is toy that Aidan will continue to play and grow with as he gets older.

I think he likes it!
We do have to thank Nana and Papa Swanton and Oma and Opa Wilde for the birthday money that they gave to go towards birthday presents. So far, the toys have been a wonderful hit! I know that if Aidan could speak in words you could understand he would thank you over and over.
I can't believe that my litttle boy is one. Time does fly when you are having fun. We have been enjoying every moment with him. We are truly blessed to have such a happy little guy. I am reminded daily of how blessed I am to call him my little boy. I remember wondering a year ago what life was going to be like with a baby and now I can't imagine life without him.
I will be posting more birthday pictures later.....

What awesome pictures Meg! Can hardly wait to see his train and table...looks like tons of fun to be sure!
You are so right...we are so blessed to have your little guy as part of our lives! Thank you Lord for the blessing of Aidan!
Happy Birthday Aidan!!!
Megan and Jamie, thanks for the great pictures as it is fun to keep up with Aidan and how he is doing. He continues to look like he is having "way too much fun". Children who are loved and know it, who feel secure and comfortable with their place in the world usually are content and happy, just like Aidan is. It looks like he is having a lot of fun with his new toys. Tell him that we miss him and look forward to seeing you all at Christmas. Love Papa......................
