Well, we are back home now. We arrived in late last night. We had such a good time with my family. Jamie and I were saying yesterday that the time sure did go by fast. It sure was great to spend some quality time with Nana, Papa and Uncle Ben.
Thanks Mom and Dad for everything! It was so much fun.

The last weekend we were there we went up north, near Traverse City, to my parents sailboat. My dad has loved sailing since he was a kid and they have always had a sailboat of some size. It was a beautiful weekend. The weather was just perfect. Aidan decided that he wasn't going to take a nap on the way up to the boat. The drive took us 2.5 hours and by the time we pulled into the marina Aidan decided that, that was the time he was going to fall asleep. So, we quickly set the play pen up inside the boat and let him take a quick cat nap.
The boat is not big enough for all of us to stay on so, my parents got a room at a guest house and we stayed on the boat with Ben. It was cramped and of course, we didn't get the best sleep but Aidan did great. His playpen fit perfectly.

Saturday, after his first nap we went out for a sail. At first, he didn't like the life jacket but he got use to it. Jamie and I were definitely curious how Aidan was going to do on this trip and he suprised us! He was so flexible and easy going. As long as he had a place to sleep and someone to play with he was completely fine. Such a good boy.

I love this picture of him...Nana was holding onto him because he was trying to get his sea-legs. The boat was swaying back and forth and he was trying to figure out how to stand.
It was cute...on this trip Aidan learned how to say "Nana." He has been good at say "Dada" but nothing else. I was saying "Nana" over and over then one time he repeated it. It was so cute. Of course, my mom was proud. Now, he walks around saying "Dada" and "Nana."

When we anchored for lunch in Omena Bay, Jamie took him and let him walk and crawl around the boat. He loved standing on the very edge looking over into the water. Jamie couldn't believe how fearless and trusting he was. It definitely made us all laugh. I will try and post more pictures tomorrow....
Well, now that we are home, I am officially off maternity leave. I have started my part-time job, from home, this morning. Thankfully Jamie is home for the first month so that I can get myself adjusted and figure out how it is going to be. I am realizing that I am going to have to be more structured with my time and be very organized but, I think it is going to be lots of fun. Definitely a new challenge to take on.

Megan and Jamie,
Thanks for coming and letting us enjoy being with all of you for 2 weeks. It was a great time to relax and be together. When I came home from work Tuesday, your Mom's first words were "its too quiet around here", I miss Aidan. Life will sure be different for a while until we adjust to no naps. Thanks for the pictures. Gotta go. Love you all, Papa................
