Where have we been????

I can't believe that it has been so long since my last post but it is what it is. Our lives have been crazy busy. A week ago we arrived home from six days in Texas visiting Jody, Darin and little Caily. Some of you have probably already seen these pictures on Jody's blog but I thought they were so cute I would use them as well. It was a good trip but very tiring with being both mom and dad. Aidan did really well with being in a new place with new people.

This picture depicts what most of our lunchtimes looked like. The weather was so nice that we would eat outside on Jody and Darin's front porch. Sky (Jody's dog) and Aidan took a liking to one another. Aidan would let her lick his fingers while he was eating. She would wait so patiently for the little fingers to make their way towards her. They got along quite well as you can tell.

This picture of Caily and myself was so fun. Caily is a hard little one to get to laugh but I have to brag that both Heather and I were successful. She wasn't laughing in this picture but she has a great smile.

The week that we returned home has been so full. Tuesday afternoon/evening I came down with the flu. Aidan quickly followed on Wednesday. The poor guy has never puked like that in his life. Thankfully, Jamie stayed home with us on Wednesday since I was still not better. That said, poor Jamie got sick Thursday night. We have never had a flu bug go through our family like this before and I am sure it won't be the last but it sure was NOT fun. I can say that we all are doing much better. Aidan still doesn't have a great appetite yet but I am hoping that will return shortly. I can only imagine that he still has the memories of throwing up and doesn't want to go through that again.
Also, last week we found out that Heather and Matt are having twins! We are really excited for them. But the funny side of this situation was that while we were in Texas, Jody and I kept teasing her that she was going to have her ultrasound and there was going to be two. It was kind of the joke of the week but now it has become reality! I know they are excited but would also covet all of your prayers as they prepare for two bundles of joy.

I agree with your friend Meg, you look quite beautiful in your photos. I think motherhood becomes you. Is that a fork I see in Aidan's hand? My he is getting quite grownup. I'm so glad you had a chance to visit Jody and enjoy the beautiful weather there. Love, Mom
