All Smiles!

For those of you who know we received lots of snow throughout the this last week. On Tuesday, Jamie came home from school and took Aidan out for a bit of fun in the snow. Aidan loves playing with his daddy and when he got to go out in the snow he was excited. At first, he was timid to play with the snow but by the end he was copying his dad and throwing snow in the air. In the summer, Aidan loved being pushed around the yard on his tricycle so Jamie pulled it out and they tooled around through the snow.

This weekend Aidan and I were without a husband and daddy. Jamie had taken his bball team to Penticton for a tournament. Aidan was a really good boy but you could see he wondered where his daddy was. Everytime we came home and he would see Jamie's car in the garage he would say, "Dada." He will definitely be thrilled when we go to pick Jamie up from school this afternoon. I have already warned Jamie that Aidan will probaly not let him out of his sight for the rest of the day. He is a funny kid that way. When one of us is gone for a long period of time he then latches on when we return and does not like to let go.

I was trying to get Aidan to stand still so that I could get his cute pants in the picture. Our friends, Dan and Carly, gave them to him after Christmas. Thanks, Dan and Carly! I love them!
Last night Heather came over for the evening and night. We decided that since the men were gone that it would be good to spend the time together. We had a good time. We ordered pizza, ran out to get ingredients to make cookies and rented a movie for the evening. Before Heather came over I told Aidan that his Auntie Heather was going to be coming over. When the she arrived Aidan was so excited to see her but them became quite nervous that I was going to leave him with her. He would not leave my side for a bit until he was convinced I was not going anywhere. It was kind of funny. I have left him with her in the past and I suppose that is what he figured was happening again. He definitely loves his Auntie and has a great time with her.

I was trying to take some pics of Aidan Saturday but he kept wanting to be able to see the screen when I was taking the picture. So, I figured self-portraits were the way to go.
Saturday while Aidan was taking his nap I attacked my house with a cleaning frenzie. It had been so long since I had really but able to deep clean my house. Having a toddler, working from home and being pregnant has made me have to let some things go. I really like to have a clean house but I have not had the energy to do it all. I bought a new mop for my floors and I must say I am in love. It is the best mop I have had! After cleaning my floors I was walking with out my slippers and I was thrilled with how clean my floors felt on my bare feet! Oh the small thrills in life.
The weekend without my handsome man was Ok. It was better than I expected and I feel like I even have had more energy than I thought I would. I thought for sure that Aidan would deplete all of my energy but he was great. Would I like to spend lots of time without my man???? No, not really but I definitely know I can do it when needed.
