Here's baby Jax the day he came home from the hospital. I think this picture shows how similar Aidan and Jaxon looked as babies. Jamie is right that Aidan was a bit rounder in the face than Jaxon but all in all you can tell they are brothers. I am doing well in the recovery stage but trying to remember to continue to take it easy so as not to over do it too early. It has been really nice having Jamie home this week. He has been such a wonderful hubby and daddy. Tomorrow he goes back to school so we will see how things go. I do have a friend coming to hang out here and help me out so that will be nice and then on Saturday my parents come for a couple of weeks. I am really looking forward to having them around....I think Aidan will totally love all the attention.

Speaking of Aidan...he has grown up so much in the last week it is amazing. Jamie and I have watched as our prayers have been answered. Our prayer was that he would have a love and acceptance for his baby brother beyond his understanding. He has taken on his big brother role very well and continues to amaze me everyday. He completely understands that I cannot pick him up for awhile and has not even asked once...instead he goes to his dad. And if he wants me to cuddle with him he knows to come on the couch and we will snuggle there.

The other night we took these pictures before Aidan went to bed. He was so thrilled to get to hold Baby Jax. He even gave him a kiss before heading off to bed. It was one of the sweetest things I have ever seen, as a mom. Jamie asked me yesterday what it felt like to be a mom of two boys..."GREAT"!

Our midwife came to for a home visit this morning and everything is looking good so far. Since the hospital Jaxon lost weight dropping him to 7 lbs 9 oz. but he has since gained back 60 grams (which is above average). Any jaundice that she might have seen earlier in the week has since disappeared. Jaxon and I are getting the hang of breastfeeding and doing well. I am using a shield but am hoping to gradually work on not using it. Things are going much better this time around than the first. Please pray that it will continue to be a success and we can continue. I am definitely not a mom that believes only that "breast is best" but when I have the supply I have it would be nice you use what God gave me :)
The midwife showed me how to use my sling today and I think that Jaxon liked it. I am very excited to use it on a regular basis.
I couldn't resist adding this pictures because these are my boys (minus one). Thanks to all of you who have prayed for us...we are adjusting to the life as a family of four and loving it.

Megan, okay, I confess, I'm a regular blog stalker. I love reading all the Beck family blogs! These are darling pictures. Speaking from experience, being a mom of all "boys" is a special and wonderful life. You're looking great and the boys are just precious. Continued blessings to all of you! Darin's mom from SC
Thanks for the update and pictures. I think it was getting close to ridiculous how often I was checking everyone's blogs hoping for some new pictures and then they came all at once. It looks like the four of you are settling in nicely. The pictures of Aidan and Jaxon are so sweet, good to see Aidan loving on his little brother.
Megan,
Congratulations on your new baby! He is beautiful. I love being able to see pictures of Aidan growing up, and now Jaxon. Grandma would have loved them dearly!
Love, April
