A family of 4!

Hello to all you faithful blog readers! This is Jamie, doing the only blogging that I ever do.... the birth announcements! So, here are a few pics of the newest member of our family, Jaxon Kade Beck! To give you a little history, Meg had been having some contractions off and on starting thursday night, but nothing really seemed to be happening when we went to bed Friday night. All we knew was that Meg was right ripped off that even the cows down the road had their calves the other day while her baby wasn't in a hurry to come out! But then, Saturday morning Meg woke up at 5 am with some pretty strong contractions. Knowing the speed of Aidan's brith we hustled off to the hospital, and good thing we did. We got to the hospital just before 6, and Jaxon was born at 6:37 am, weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz. That's right, everything happened in just over 90 minutes!!!! Even husbands in the hallway wanted her to touch their wives in hopes of her speed rubbing off on them!

Mom and baby are doing well. We figure that Jaxon looks like a little mini-Aidan, although he has a skinnier face. He's a cutie though and has showed that he is quite the eater and sleeper.... an easy life if you ask me. We are enjoying fact that, unlike Aidan, he stays in one place for more than 10 seconds and he is quite the cuddler. I'd forgotten how small and cuddly a new baby can be.

Below is a little video that we found kind of funny. He was sucking on his blanket so we decided to free a hand. Sure enough, he found the hand and just started sucking up a storm! Apparently the suck reflex is not an issue for him!
