A bit of an update.....

It has been 3 weeks since Jaxon joined us, my parents have gone back home and now Jamie and I have to figure out how to handle two boys instead of just one :) When Jamie came back from taking my mom to the airport he said, "Well honey, back to real life." I must confess that when I said goodbye to my mom I experienced moments of panic and anxiety but at the same time I was ready to tackle this life of ours and create a routine/schedule for my boys. It is nice that I only have two more weeks before Jamie will be home for the summer. I am defnitely looking forward to having him around as it will make it easier getting everyone going.

Daddy and his boys.

For Father's Day we went to White Rock for fish and chips and Auntie Heather joined us as well. It was good to spend some time with her as in a couple of weeks we won't be able to spend as much time together due to the miles that will seperate us. The weather was gorgeous and we were able to go out on on the beach because the tide was out. I don't know if you can tell in this picture but Aidan has a rather large red bump in the middle of his forehead. When we were in White Rock he was running away from Jamie tripped and landed on his face...giving him road rash on is nose and forehead. Jamie and I realized that this was probably the worst incident he has had yet. I thought we were going to see blood for sure....it will come soon enough. I am sure the poor kid had a headache for awhile after that but he didn't let that stop him from having fun.

Jaxon at two weeks.
Jaxon is definitely our little peanut compared to Aidan. I have his 4 week check-up at the end of this week so we will see how much weight he has gained in the last two weeks. I am beginning to notice him filling out a bit more but he is still tiny. I love this picture of him because he looks like he has a little smile on his face. Like Aidan he is full of expression and has made some cute faces in the last 3 weeks. Of course, never when you want to capture them on camera :)

Auntie Heather took this picture of Aidan today as he was running through the sand. It is hard to tell but the kid was soaked from head to toe and sandy. He thought it was fun to pick up sand and throw it in the air. Thankfully he had his hat on so he didn't get any in his hair. Aidan has done well in adjusting to life with Jaxon. However, this next week will be the true test... as he does not have his Nana or Papa to play with him whenever he wants. He truly had a great time with his Nana and Papa and I know he will miss having them around.

Jaxon at three weeks.
I think that you can see that he is filling out. We are doing well. He is feeding every 2 1/2 - 3 hours and he sleeps between his feeds during the night. I am still breastfeeding and it is definitely going better than it did with Aidan. Jaxon and I both got thrush last week but we are getting over it and hopefully we won't get it again. Well, I should probably get going since Jaxon is starting to fuss and would like to be fed and I think Jamie would like for me to be done so that he can have a break. For some reason Jaxon is fighting going to sleep and he wants to be held and not put down at the moment. Maybe we've got a snuggler this time around ?!? I suppose only time will tell :)

Hey Meg,
Love all the new pics and the updates. Thanks!
Your family is beautiful. I'm thankful Jamie's summer will start soon and you will have 2 months together.
Let me know when you are free, cause I would LOVE to come by and see Jaxson.

he is so cute, megan! Sorry I had to jet past you there on Sunday, i was really hoping to get an in-person glance at Jaxon, but Taeya was right on the verge of losing it since I was on worship all weekend.
I hope the next two weeks go well for you, and you're able to find a bit of a routine while Jamie finishes up his last few weeks :)

Thanks for the update, I kept checking to see the new little one and finally there were pictures. I remember when Mom and Dad left after Caily was born and feeling very overwhelmed. It seemed like things were just getting by with them here, muchless without them around. I hope that you aren't too overwhelmed and are adjusting well. Love your two boys, Caily can't wait to get into trouble with them! So far we don't have much planned for Caily's birthday. I wish family was close, it would make things easier because I don't really want to do anything big, but I want to do something. What did you do for Aidan?
