Hot Summer Weekend Fun

This weekend we have had lots of fun enjoying the sunshine and each other. This was the best family picture we could get....Jaxon is apart of it....you can see his little feet underneath Aidan:) We went to Hope yesterday to the Othello Tunnels. It was such a hot day but when we walked through the tunnels it was nice and cool. The tunnels were so amazing. It is so crazy to think that a group of workers blasted through the mountains and created these massive tunnels. They were created for the railway the late 1800's and they run along the Coquihalla River. The river current was so fast! It reminded me of the time when we went white water rafting a couple of years ago. (Mom, we will have to take you guys when you come in Sept:)

This is the best picture we could take in getting Jaxon apart of the picture since he is in the basement of our stroller (even if Jamie cut my head off). I have to put a plug in for the Phil and Ted stroller in this picture. This is the best double stroller ever! Jaxon gets to lay down and everytime he is in it a falls asleep and Aidan sits on top and has enjoyed his new seat. And it folds down smaller then any Graco stroller!

This is Aidan's birthday present from Nana and Papa. My parents decided to get Aidan's bday presents while they were here so that he could play with them for the summer. It is hard to get him summer toys for his Aug bday because the toys are usually all sold out by then. He absolutely loves his water slide table. He gets completely soaked. He has not learned how to play without getting wet. And at times he even likes to try to sit in the bottom part. We have it up on our porch right now instead of down in our yard because then he can play with it and we can still be in the kitchen and watch him at the same time. Thanks, Mom and Dad this was a great present!
Last but not least; here's Jax! He is getting so big yet is still my little peanut. His cheeks are filling out more and more each day along with his legs. We have his 6 weeks check-up on Wednesday so we will see how much he has gained in the last two week. I think he is definitely becoming more of his own person instead of being a carbon copy of Aidan. Yes, I do know he still looks a lot like Aidan but each day he does different facial expressions that are just his own and then he does not look anything like his big brother.

We were doing well in the sleeping department at night but since it has been sweltering hot at night he has been getting up more at night wanting to eat/drink. At first, it didn't dawn on me that he could actually get dehydrated in this heat and want to drink lots more until after our first night in the heat. He just wanted to drink and drink.....I really hope this does not become a habit and we can get back on our good schedule as soon as the heat subsides. He isn't dehydrated for those that might read this and worry :)

What great pictures. Looks like you were having a wonderful time. Glad you got your new stroller and it is working like you wanted. Aidan looks like he is enjoying his water toys . Good idea to put it on the porch. My goodness Jaxon is really filling out. He looks like a very happy baby, just like his happy brother! God has blessed you mightily! Love you much, Mom

great pictures! Glad you got a great stroller for you and the boys. I was thinking about that one too, but wondered about the storage if i were to go grab some groceries - could it fit a few jugs of milk and a few other items? i think i'm leaning towards a Chariot stroller so we can go biking too.
glad to hear things are going well in your family of four!

You're looking so good Megan. As do your boys. Jaxon can get very thirsty in heat, but at 6 weeks he's also likely to be going through a growth spurt, so he'll be wanting to nurse a lot to increase your milk supply. But you're doing great so keep it up, Mama!

Thanks for the great pictures! We sure have missed seeing all of you and I kept checking every day for new pics! I can't believe how much Jaxon has changed while we have been gone. Looking forward to seeing you all again real soon.

Neat stroller. Looks like it is working out well. Its not a water park but its a start. Glad Aidan is enjoying it. In another year or so Jaxon can join him in getting wet. Probably should use the sand box first, then wash off the sand with the water toys. You sure do not look like a Mom of two small boys under two years of age. You don't look "befrazelled" at all. Your a great Mom, Megan. Keep up the good work. You already understand the reward. Thanks for sharing. Love, Papa..............

Yes that Phil & Ted stroller is awesome isn't it. A group of us got that for my sister just over a year ago, and she has used that more than she ever thought she would! My good friends has it for her two boys and loves it also. That "basement" in the bottom really turns out to be a great thing!
Your boys are too cute. And you seem like such a wonderful mommy!
