Fun with Oma and Opa

Jamie's Oma and Opa came out from Calgary for a visit this past week. We were able to have them over for dinner on Tuesday, as you can see, Aidan had a wonderful time with them. As soon as they arrived he wanted to take them outside to show them the trampoline and others toys. Then after dinner out came the balls. Opa and Aidan had fun throwing balls back and forth to each other. Then as Aidan started to wind down for the night he found a wonderful spot in Oma's lap to read several books. He quickly realized that if he kept taking books to her it delayed his bedtime. It was great having them over to spend some quality time with Aidan and Jaxon.
A special "Thank You" needs to go out to Oma and Opa's good friend, Audrey. Audrey has loved our boys from afar....and sent gifts for them. Aidan loves his PT Cruiser and Coke truck. We have put the Toonie and Loonie piggy banks up on a shelf in Aidan's room and will begin to fill them when the spare change starts to accumulate. Thank you so much for the love that you show on our family! One day we will be able to thank you in person.

Hi Megan,

This is Darin's mom...I regularly read your blog and wanted to thank you for giving those encouraging words on David/Haley's blog. Haley's been a real trooper....and this has been a whirlwind first year of marriage. I'm so proud of them both for hanging in there and accomplishing their goals. I love reading about your little ones. The baby is looking more more like Aiden to me now. Have a great weekend.

Megan, looks like great fun. I'm glad that Oma and Opa had time to enjoy the boys and the whole family. What a blessing family is for us all. We are looking forward to seeing you all in just over a month. I think even uncle Ben is looking forward to this fall and his time at Thetis harbor; or maybe it is just not having to work every day. In any event, the seasons keep changing. Enjoy them all. Love, Papa..............
