Happy New Year!

Well, I hope that all who read this had a wonderful Christmas season with family and friends. We are still in Michigan with my family and enjoying the time! I decided that it was important to blog while I was here so that I could take advantage of using the pictures that my parents have taken on their camera. I have so many pics to choose from between both of our cameras but I realized that once we get back home my time will be limited on when I can blog about our time. So, I hope you enjoy the pictures.......
We arrived late on Christmas Day so we did our family Christmas on the Friday. Our trip down went well. Aidan did great for Jamie and Jaxon was a dream baby for me. (for those that don't know....we flew separately...because I had a free flight)
Aidan got his own driver from Nana and Papa. He absolutely loves it. The nice thing is that the head of the golf club is really soft and the golf balls are nerf so he can just hammer it and we don't have to worry about breaking anything! This was the first present that he opened and he really didn't want to waste anytime by opening more presents he just wanted to play with his golf club.

Jaxon is sporting Aidan's new Michigan toque. Jax got his own baseball cap but it is too big for him right now.
The boys have had great times playing with Nana and Papa. Aidan got Papa down on the floor and was playing with balls and then they got into a tickling match. As you can tell they were having lots of fun. The noise level in the house right now is definitely high....but boys will be boys!

Nana really wanted to make sugar cut out cookies with Aidan. They had a great time rolling out the dough and picking out the cookie cutters to make the cookies. Aidan helped with everything. He really does enjoy helping out in the kitchen.
This picture is priceless to me because Aidan is laughing at Nana because she had flour on her nose just like him. He thought that was so funny.
After the cookies were baked we got right to frosting them. It was quite the adventure and Aidan really just wanted to lick the knives of frosting and play with the sprinkles but he did a great job with the cookies he did ice.

We went to the Children's Museum for one of the days and spent the majority of the day there. It is the coolest place for kids. Aidan really loved it. They have lots of different areas of the museum with so much for kids to do. I wish that Abbotsford or Langley had a place like this because it is place where you can just let your kids run and play and not worry about them at all. The bubble station was a favorite for sure.
Aidan was dropping golf balls down this ramp and the balls would hit the bells and make lots of noise.
Of course the day would not be complete without an area where Aidan could play with balls. He hand Papa would put the balls into the tubes and then pull a lever and the balls would fall out.

This section of the Museum was fun because it had lots of slides and pools of balls. Aidan especially enjoyed sliding head first into this pool of balls. The area was set up so the kids could pretend they were penguins and slide down the ramps into pools of water/ice.
We noticed throughout the day how grown up and more confident Aidan has gotten with other kids. Before Aidan would have just stood watching the other kids play but now he is getting right in there and playing with them. It is fun to watch him get bigger.
Jaxon did amazing at the Museum as well. This picture was taken while I was feeding him his lunch. He has been smiling so much more these days and his funny personality is shining through. He has made us all laugh lots this week. He actually fell asleep lying on Papa's jacket while kids were running around him. Such a good boy!

When we arrived here on Christmas Day there was lots of snow and then we got a warm patch where it melted all the snow away. Just a day ago it snowed again so Aidan went out to help Papa shovel the walk way. He loves being outside and especially with his Papa. They have had so much fun picking up sticks and shoveling snow.
We sure have had a great time and have been able to make some fun memories as well.

Looks like such a nice cozy time. We didn't do much for Christmas as we had our own little Jaxon, born early on Christmas morning. I've had the name in my mind for a while and seeing your Jaxon sealed the deal on my name choice. We love it and so does everyone we introduce him to. I love the sleeper your Jax is wearing in the first pic.
