For Valentines Day my parents sent the the boys their own valentine cards and in the each card they had taped a stick of gum for the boys. This was Jaxon's first time having gum. Jaxon was so excited to have gum. He has seen Aidan chewing gum and has always asked to have some but I told him he had to get a few more teeth. Aidan only started chewing gum a little bit ago and he never chews it for very long before he just swallows it.
He thought he was hot stuff. He was pretty good with it. He actually chewed it for awhile and then wanted to spit it out instead of swallowing it. I am sure that you have noticed the nice scrape on his chin. I honestly don't know how he got it...he was not in my care when it happened. He was in the daycare at Wednesday Morning Bible Study at church; when I picked him up that is when I noticed it. The ladies didn't even know he had scraped his chin. Apparently, it didn't seem to phase him much! Aidan told him he fell out of the car in the gym....
Jaxon in mid chew....
This past weekend started Jamie's spring break. We didn't do too much it was a bit of a relaxing weekend. On Sunday after the hockey game and before the Closing Ceremonies we decided to take the boys to the park. When we got into the car the boys saw the gum and immediately asked for a piece of gum. So I split the stick of gum between the boys and they were instantly quiet. However, we started to hear Jax smacking his gum! By the time we got to the park Aidan had already swallowed his gum but Jax was still chewing and savoring every minute. He actually kept his gum until dinnertime! He probably had his gum for 1.5 hours. He spit it out right before dinner! Jamie and I could not believe it.
Monday morning after Jaxon decided to poop in his diaper I asked him if he wanted to put on a pair of "big" boy underwear. He was so excited....as you can clearly see.....
He just started running down the hallway and jumping up and down. He was hilarious. Jamie and I kept laughing at him because he was so thrilled to be in underwear. Being excited to be in underwear definitely does NOT mean that he wants to pee in the potty! He is no where close but sure knows what he soon should be doing.
Jamie and I also had to laugh at the difference in body type between our boys. When we started potty training Aidan and he was running around in his underwear he was such a little skinny thing. Jaxon is tiny but more built. Can I say that about a 1.5 year old boy? But it is true...he is just a bit thicker yet still skinny. And he is just crazy! Can you tell???
Oh, the craziness in our home. I believe that if people could hear the screaming that happens in our house they would wonder what is going on. The boys love to get going and then they just love to scream and then they scream louder and try to out scream the other! I swear they have both hearing loss because of there scream -offs. They are most definitely brothers and partner's in crime.

We are heading into Vancouver tomorrow for dentist appointments and then off to the Aquarium. We have decided to do a couple of day trips during this two week spring break. I will just take a couple of days off of work or just work less hours those days.
Stay tuned for more pics coming soon.....

I cannot believe how old Jaxon is looking, he has changed so much from Christmas already. In one of those pictures with him being excited in his underwear with his mouth wide open, he looks a lot like a face that Lexi does. I'd never seen that until that picture, crazy how that works. Have fun with Jamie home.
I agree with Jods - Jaxon is looking so grown up :) Love the pictures of the boys, they look like they are having a blast together.
Great pictures! and your boys do have so much fun together. It's neat to see how much Jaxon loves his big brother. He really is quite the character!
I never tire of seeing pictures of the boys and their precious smiles. They look like they are having so much fun. They are definitley their own personalities and even though you can tell they are brothers they look so different from each other now. Thanks for sharing
