A Sleepover like No Other!

This past week and weekend (Wednesday - Sunday) was a giant sleepover like no other. Jamie headed to Vegas for a Middle School Conference and so the boys and I were invited over to Mimi and Pa's house. Auntie Heather, Kai and Great -Grandma were all there as well. It was a full house with lots of noise, fun and craziness.
The boys (Aidan, Jaxon and Kai) had a great time playing together and getting to know each other better. Kai was very enamored with his cousins. He was always watching them or trying to play with them when they had the patience to sit still. Aidan really seemed to love giving Kai attention and making sure that he has all the right toys to play with. He was always so gentle and kind. It was very sweet to watch.
The boys were so excited with the sleepover because that meant that I would be sleeping in the same room that they were in. One of the bedroom at Mimi and Pa's has the bunk beds and another twin bed. It was perfect for the three of us. They thought it was so great waking up and having me right there. It took me a couple of nights to get use to their noises....Aidan is quite a loud sleeper. I am glad that we are all back in our house now but for the time that Jamie was gone it was a fun adventure.
It was great to spend time with my nephew, Kai. He is a very content little boy who loves to hand out smiles and talk to you. It was quite fun to watch him watch Aidan and Jaxon. You could tell he just wanted to join in with them. Heather and I kept saying how crazy it will be when Kai can run and play with them. It will most definitely be crazy when that happens. They will be trouble when they get together. Nothing but trouble!

One night we had bath time! Kai was doing just fine when he first went into the tub. Apparently he does not like the tub right now but would rather be bathed in the sink. Aidan was a bit concerned for Kai at this point....either that or can't understand why he wouldn't like being in the bath. :) Oh, the laughs we had at expense of our children.

Silly faces with Pa.
Lots of books were read and stories told. The boys love Pa's stories at bedtime. They have learned to ask Pa right before bedtime and then they all head up to listen to their favorites.

Games with Gigi!
Gigi was so great with Aidan and Jaxon. She would sit, listen, play and laugh with them. The boys just loved her. On Wednesday when we arrived she was taking a nap in her chair and Aidan told her "you need to wake up now". He was so excited to see her and play with her. She just laughed and decided that he was right, she did need to wake up and play.
Thanks to all of you for letting us crash your party...it was a great time where I know that memories were made.

I agree - it was wonderful. So good to be able to spend that much time together with you and your boys! Like college days again ... just with our three boys in tow ;)
