Desert Canyon Fun

This past week we had the opportunity to head out to Desert Canyon in Orondo, WA. For those that know this area or want to it is between Wenatchee and Lake Chelan. It is a great little golf course resort that we have a timeshare with. We did not think that we would be able to get in there this summer and two weeks ago we phoned to see if there was any availability. There was time last week from Monday - Thursday. We decided that we would invite Jamie's parents and his sister and her little guy.
We all had a great time. It was fun to spend some good time with Heather and Kai. As you can tell Kai and I became great friends. I was the best auntie ever! He tried Lucky Charms and Cherry Coke ( and he LOVED them both)! :)

Aidan could not wait to get into the pool. That is all he could talk about. I should preface that he doesn't just jump in as soon as he is there. He has to warm up to it but then once he is in there (with his daddy) he loves it! Jaxon wanted to go the pool but when he got there he would not go in much. He was not impressed with how cold the water was to start so he would just watch.

We brought lots of toys and books for the boys. After the long drive all they wanted to do was run and play with their toys. It was kind of funny to watch all of them just get a bit crazy before dinner.

Our boys favorite past time in the morning here is to go on the deck and watch the golfers. Kai got right into the action as well. It was quite cute to watch all of them out on the deck.

The first morning/afternoon Jamie and his dad played golf. The course is a great course and Jamie loves to play it (when he gets a chance) Our condo unit backed the fourth hole of the course so we waited and watched for Daddy and Pa and when they came Aidan went down to them to say, Hi. Jamie let him hit his ball at one point. I have to say, the form is not that bad for an almost 4 year old.

Aidan was absolutely thrilled to get a quick ride in the cart with Jamie. I believe it might have been his highlight of the trip. He has told us that he will start golfing with daddy when he is 5 years old. I suppose we will see on that one. Jamie and I are looking forward to golfing with our guys. Hopefully they will like it as much as their dad (and me).

Oh the fun we had at the pool. Aidan would just wear himself right out by the end of the day. He just loved swimming from one end of the pool to the other. Of course it is with a life jacket but nonetheless he likes the water. We are going to have to start swimming lessons again this fall. I am thinking of putting both boys in the same class as Jaxon is old enough to start as well. I think that Aidan would probably do alright with having Jax with him. It will give him an opportunity to be an "older" brother because he has done it before. Hopefully that would help him progress and get better in his lessons and he could actually pass the Sea Turtles :)
