Many a Birthday Celebration

This past week we have been able to celebrate Aidan's bday in many different ways. There is no doubt in my mind that Aidan knows exactly how loved he is by all of his family.

This past weekend we went to Quesnel to visit Matt, Heather and Kai. Heather had a great idea to do a 24 party for the boys. All the Beck grandson's are all born on the 24th of their month. Aidan = August 24th; Jaxon = May 24th and Kai = September 24th. It is definitely helps in remember birthdays :)
So our first night there we had our first (of many) 24 party. Auntie Heather made yummy cupcakes and all three boys thoroughly enjoyed to the fullest.

This was Kai's first cupcake and it was definitely a hit.
Last night we had Mimi and Pa (Jamie's parents) over for dinner, cake and presents. Aidan was very excited. Not sure if you can see his facial expressions but he LOVED his presents.
I found this sweatshirt for Aidan on one of those facebook pages of women who sell kids clothes. When I saw it I just knew that Aidan had to have it. I showed it to Mama B and she loved it and had a good idea that she would buy it from me and give it to Aidan for his bday.
It is the And 1 brand and it has a bball player and a wolf on it. It is absolutely perfect for the fall and for all the bball games we will go and watch at Jamie's school.
He also got more railway track for his Thomas the Tank Engine trains. He was so excited to be able to make longer tracks. The track they built last night is still on the floor in the living room.
This was the cake that Aidan picked out at Safeway earlier in the day. He couldn't decide if he wanted an ice cream cake or a regular cake. I guess he finally decided when he and Jamie came home with this one. I would have made him a cake or cupcakes but to be honest his bday completely crept up on me. And since he doesn't really seem to care if I make it or if he gets one from the store I figure we will go with that for now. I know I won't be like so many other mom's that go all out and make these crazy cakes. I am not that creative.
Birthday morning......he found his presents pretty quick. He got two large monster trucks and a pitching machine for outside. The machine throws pop flies and grounders as well as pitches. I think that Jamie couldn't resist when he did the shopping. The pitches are a bit hard for him yet but he loves stopping grounders. He learned quickly the correct way of stopping grounders and he is definitely getting the hang of it.
Holding the tickets for the PNE.
Last year we took Aidan to the PNE (without Jaxon) for his bday. We knew last year when we left after a great day we would be starting this as a family tradition. Not sure for how long...but for now the boys are free and we all have a great time. This year we went on Aidan's bday and Jaxon joined us. They were so excited.
Getting ready to watch the "On the Edge" show. It has quad races, monster trucks and truck fights. The boys loved it but did not like the fire pillars. Whenever anyone crossed the finish line they would blow a pillar of fire. We were close enough that you could feel the heat from the fire. Both boys did NOT like that. Thankfully we could tell when they were going to do it so we would warn them.
Enjoying a bit of Dole Whip before the Superdog's show.
The other things we enjoyed at the PNE was the mini doughnuts, fresh potato chips, ice cream and White Spot for dinner. We also went and saw the pig and duck races. I am not sure if there was one thing that was a favorite over the other. It all was a great hit.
