Happy Canada Day!

What a wonderful weekend! We were so excited that the weather stayed nice. We were able to spend lots of outside and introduce Aidan to a couple of new water worlds. On Canada Day we took lunch to Mill Lake (with Auntie Heather) and enjoyed watching kids play in the water park. Jamie took him to stand near the waterfalls and as you can see he liked it.

Daddy and Aidan are watching the water shoot into the air!
He never seemed afraid of the situation. I think that as long as he has someone that he trusts with him he will probably do anything.

Today, we went to White Rock for some fish and chips and fun in the water. We went with our friends the Ewert's. After lunch we took all the kids out in the water because the tide was out. The older kids were looking for shells and crabs while Aidan and Z enjoyed the water. The water was so warm and before I knew it Aidan was sitting in the water reaching for the seaweed. Man, he has no fear!

At one point, Z was throwing sand and it landed all over Aidan. It was the funniest thing ever. I had to dump water all over his face to get him clean. I don't think he minded having mud all over his face but he sure didn't like me throwing water all over him. Needless to say he had to have a bath when we got home.
On the way back to the car we stopped to get ice cream. I was ordering my ice cream cone and when I was paying the lady came and brought me a small cone for Aidan. She just thought he deserved his first cone:) It was so sweet. I couldn't believe that our camera's batteries died while we were out on the water. Now, I don't even have his first ice cream documented:) Did I mention that he loved it!?! Doesn't surprise me seeing as him mom loves ice cream!
I also have to say congratulations to Jody and Darin on the birth of Caily Joelle! She was born on Friday, weighing in at 7lb 10oz. Check out their blog to see the precious pictures or Grandma Beck's blog for pics.

Looks like a great time was had by all. Beautiful weather and great memories. Thanks for continuing to capture Aidan's life and "first" experiences for us all. We are still looking for a new hat for Aidan. He will of course need a sand pail and shovel for the beach. See you all soon. Love, Papa....................
