When could it be??

It has been awhile since I last posted....and I seem to always say that. Life has just continued to fly by us and we are now in the week countdown of wondering when this little one is going to arrive.
This picture was taken this past weekend. As you can see Aidan wanted to be in the picture and we gave him a "baby" too. He thought it was pretty funny. We had a really good weekend together. We were able to spend some time relaxing and having fun enjoying the beautiful weather. My apologies for a lack of pictures but our camera batteries died the day we decided to take the camera to the zoo. For a quick recap of the weekend......
-Aidan decided that this was the weekend to start pooping on his potty -he did it twice. (I would not say he is potty trained at all but he is the one making the initiative. Jamie and I just laugh at the impeccable timing of it all :)
- Jamie put the infant car seat base in the car so that we are ready and Aidan was very intrigued on what was in the backseat with him. Jamie continued to tell him that it was for the baby. I think that it has helped in Aidan's understanding. Everytime we are in the car now he points to the base and says "baby." It has allowed us to talk more about the baby and he seems to be a bit excited about having a baby.
-I have finally packed a back for the baby and Aidan for when it is time.....who knows when that will be.
-Jamie washed the cars and cleaned out my car. Who knew that a car could get so filthy with cherrios, toys, and extra clothes....
-Monday we went to the zoo for the first time as a family. We got there and it started to spit rain but we endured and it turned out to be a good time. Unfortunately the camera wasn't working because we could have had some cute shots but we got a pass so we have plenty of more opportunities for pictures.
I think we can finally say that we are ready for this little one to arrive. This is not to say we have never been ready but I mean getting clothes washed, bags packed, and getting everything together. Jamie and I decided that we should try to get it everything together this past weekend. The only thing I need to do now is pack a bag for myself but I find that difficult.
You could pray for Aidan right now, he has a bit of a cold/cough. He wakes up half way through the night coughing lots. We give him more medicine and lay with him on the couch so that he is upright and he can fall asleep. It would be nice to get him healthy so that when the baby comes we don't have a sick one too. Were not even sure if Aidan is sick if he should be able to come to hospital when the little one arrives. I suppose we will have to see. Pray that Jamie and I are able to stay healthy and not get his cold....so far so good. I suppose the next time there is a post it will be an introduction.....stay tuned!

I love the picture, Aidan looks so excited about his "baby" as well. Wasn't your last picture for Aidan in front of the fridge, maybe it is a sign. Or not, but thanks for the picture and update, I will be patiently (maybe not so patiently) awaiting the news of the newest baby Beck.
(That was me that deleted my comment, sorry about that)

Hi Megan,

I'm a friend of Jody's from highschool and I have a son a bit younger than Aidan, so I like reading your blog and hearing about how your little guy is doing.

Mathias (my son) has had quite a lot of colds and coughs this winter and one thing that has really helped is having a humidifier in his room. It keeps his throat moist so he's not coughing and waking all night. I know a lot of mom's use one, so you may already have one too, but I thought that if not, it might be worth a shot to get you rested before your new one comes!

All the best with your upcoming big day!!!
