Today was Jaxon's 6 week check-up with the midwives and our final check-up with them. Jaxon passed with flying colors! He is gaining weight like a beast! Two weeks ago he weighed in at 9 lb. 9 oz.....and today he is at 10 lb. 14 oz! Just in the last week I was beginning to see his entire body fill out. His others stats are:
Head: 40 cm
Length: 56 cm
We are beginning to get back onto our good sleeping schedule at night. Since the nights have been cooling down more he is getting more comfortable at night. We are getting up once a night around 2-3am and then usually anywhere between 5-6am. Then after that feed we are heading back to bed where he will sleep for a bit longer. Today he slept until almost 8:30am while Jamie and I were up with Aidan.

He is growing like a weed but he still is smaller than Aidan ever was. Who knows if he will ever catch up or surpass him but for now I am loving my little peanut! He is starting to give smiles now.....and they are fun to receive.
As cute as he is...what a pill.
I am quite convince he has entered the "Terrible Two" stage and he loves to test me to the limit. He acts like he does not understand the word "NO" and he pretends that he does not hear you when you give him direction (especially to tell him to stop doing something). Jamie and I are going to have to really work on being consistent and strong in our discipline. The glimmer of hope is that for most of the time he is a good boy and when he really wants to be good he is excellent! For that, I am truly thankful!

What awesome pictures Megs!! so fun to see you enjoying your boys. At the rate Jaxon is gaining weight he might just catch up to Aidan....who knows! but in the meantime, he sure is a little peanut who is growing up soooo fast!
Megan, Thanxs again for all your time and efforts to provide us with pictures and journeling. We enjoy it so much. Its hard to continue to stay apart of whats going on there, except for your blog and Skype. This pictures are great and it is obvious that you and Jamie are enjoying parenting. Each stage that the boys go through is different and special, and each will have its challenges. These are far out weighed by the joy and blessing that they will provide. Enjoy the journey as I know you are. We love you. Give Aidan and Jaxon a hug from us. See you in Sept. Love, Papa............
Thanks for the update. At the rate Jaxon is going he is going to be heavier than Caily soon : ) Probably not, but he is already half way there. I like the first self-portrait of the three of you, it looks like Jaxon is laughing. I was wondering, did you ever get that package I sent for the boys? I am hoping that you get it before the 4th. Have a great day.
aren't the 2's fun? And to deal with it while taking care of a new baby...oh, the things i have to look forward to!
To answer your question, yes I LOVE the midwives. I really loved the doctor i had with Taeya, but i am so pleased with the midwives and how they operate. I feel very comfortable about the labor/delivery (still not looking forward to it), knowing they are going to be delivering our baby! so yes, i'm very happy we were able to get in with them and receive midwife care :)
