So Much Has Happened......

The little man is 4 months old today. I really don't know where time goes these days but I do count everyday as a blessing. We are truly blessed to have both Aidan and Jaxon and enjoy the laughs they bring. We are finding that Jaxon is a serious one with one stubborn streak. I honestly didn't know I could have a more stubborn child than Aidan but Jaxon has arrived and does rival.
We have started to hear some giggles from Jaxon in the last two weeks but they are few and far between. He does smile lots but is definitely a serious one. He has started to get into a good routine during the day and night. He was sleeping through the night for awhile and then regressed but we have changed our routine up a bit in the evening so we are hoping that he will start sleeping through the night better now.
This next week I have his 4 month check-up and shots so I will know how much he weighs and any other pertinent information. I don't even have a clue how much he weighs but he sure is getting heavy. Jaxon has started to really interact with his big brother. Whenever Aidan is in the room Jaxon will try to find him. He smiles at Aidan all the time. He always wants to be sitting up. He can't do it on his own yet but I am sure he will learn quickly because he really hates to be leaning back or lying on his back. He loves to play with toys that dangle in front of him. He can grab objects now and immediately tries to put them in his mouth. He get really frustrated with one particular toy if he can't get it into his mouth. His smiles are contagious just like his brother's. You can't help but smile when he gives you a big one!

My family was here this past week and it was great getting to spend some quality time together. They had brought my brother up to go to Capernwray Thetis Island and then stayed for a bit. We enjoyed going to the zoo and the aquarium. Here Aidan is sitting with his Nana and Papa before the lion feeding at the zoo. Jaxon was passed out in the stroller.

Papa and Aidan looking for any animals they could find. Or better yet....the chooch (aka. train at the zoo) Mom and Dad spent countless hours trying to get Jaxon to smile for the camera. We did capture a couple of his smiles on camera but everytime the red light came on....he became enamored with it and would not smile; very stoic indeed.

It is always great having my family around since we do not live close. It provides them with quality time with their grandson's (even if it is few and far between) and time with us which is always fun. Whenever we have to say goodbye till next time there is always a small piece of me that feels a bit guilty for moving so far away. I know it is hard for them but at the same time they have reassured me that they know I am exactly where God wants me to be. I suppose it makes me appreciate the time we do get and to make the most of every opportunity....since they are not always often.

Thanks Mom and Dad for everything! The boys love spending time with you! Aidan has already talked about you and playing ball with Abby when we come at Christmas. I think I caught him actually saying Nana this morning....it was rather cute. Love you.
