For Thanksgiving this year we decided to make the trek to Quesnel to spend time with Heather and Matt and MaB and PaB. We left Friday right after school ended and got to Quesnel by 10pm. It took us exactly 7 hours. The boys did great! We weren't sure how they were going to be but driving in the late afternoon and evening seemed to work well.

I had wanted to take some family pictures while we were there because of the fall colors and because I decided that this year, for the first time, we are going to send out a Christmas picture. Can you believe it? Jamie and I have been married for 6 years and we have never done one. We figured it was high time we did. So, Saturday late morning Heather took us to some of the places that she thought would work great for pictures. They turned out really well. I have posted some of them but will save my favorite for the Christmas card/photo.

The boys were really funny at one point during the pictures they decide that they were going to stare at each other. I think that Jaxon started it because he has started to take a real interest in his big brother. It is rather cute I must say. Aidan has really taken to him as well and loves to sit and talk with him. Aidan will always go and pick up Jax's toy when he drops it and loves to tell me where I should put him. I think they are going to be great pals.

Heather decided that Jaxon needed to have his own photo shoot....we definitely got some cute ones. We all have decided that Jaxon has definitely grown into his own person now. There are glimpse's of Aidan but he is for sure his own. I never was able to post what he weighed at his 4 months check, now that we are almost at 5 months. He weighed in at 16lb 5 oz. but I am sure he is well over that by now. We started him on rice cereal two weeks ago and absolutely loved it from the first spoonful. He gets so excited when he realizes he is going to get it his arms flail and he kicks wildly. He is sleeping through the night now with the occasionally wake up in the middle of the night but he does not get him. He cries himself back to sleep. It is just the naps we are dealing with. He likes to sleep for an hour and then wake up crying. So we are having our fare share of battles right now.

Aidan quite enjoyed taking pictures because he got to run around, pick up sticks and throw rocks into the water. We realized more and more that he loves to be outside. It doesn't matter what how cold it is he loves be able to be outside.

I was suppose to be in this picture but I didn't get up on the train fast enough and I thought it was just cute as the three of them. Daddy and his boys.

Mr. Cutie himself!

Aidan is all about discovery these days. He absolutely loves to doing things that are new. This weekend Jamie was planting bulbs and taking out things in our flower beds and Aidan just wanted to get in and help. So, he planted flowers and threw weeds away for Jamie. He is getting to be such a big boy. Potty training is still going. For the most part he is doing well but it is still the bedtime and nap time where he does not stay dry. If anyone has any ideas of helping him clue in I am up for hearing them.

Auntie and Aidan have so much fun together. Tree hugging and all. He loves his auntie and his unkie. But I think this picture shows exactly how they are together....all the time :)

Our little thinker....

Grandpa, Aidan and Tikka spent lots of time outside that weekend. Aidan could not get enough of throwing a ball for Tikka and I think Tikka enjoyed the attention as well. Whenever we talk about Unkie and Auntie the "doggy" is always included in the conversation.

And of course....there's Unkie. I don't even think I can describe to all of you the enormous love/bond that Aidan has with his Unkie Matthew. I think the look of Aidan's face probably tells it all. Even though we are separated by many miles....Unkie will always be very close to Aidan's heart.

OH Megan, what fabulous photos. I was a little broken hearted even though I should've have been. I love that you got to go up and visit them. We miss them dearly but are thrilled for their new life out in Quesnel. I especially love the last photo.
So, when are you free? We want to hang out with you guys.
Megan, thanks for sharing your time with family over Thanksgiving. It is such a treat to enjoy Aidan and Jaxon's life through pictures and Skype. Glad you all had a great time with Heather, Matt and the Becks. Great memories. It is so special to see their individual characters coming out. We always enjoy your journaling. Thanks again, keep it up. Give the boys and Jamie a hug from us. Love, Papa............
