Pure Childlikeness

On Sunday our pastor was talking about pure childlikeness. He talked about how children have the great ability to see things in a simple and pure light; to enjoy life for what it is and having faith that is pure and simple. We (as adults) were challenged to pure childlikeness. One of the examples of pure childlikeness was that of a child finding joy in picking dandelions for his mommy. To a child dandelions are beautiful flowers instead of a weed.
Life is so simple for a child. As we grow up we start to complicate life to the extent that we start to miss out on the simple things that can bring such joy! I truly believe that I have so much to learn from my children. Sure, I have things that I can teach my children but their lives of simplicity are definitely an area that I can learn from.
I want this childlikeness!

I wrote a similar post entitled "Dandelions" a few years back. Warms my heart everytime. Something beautiful about our children loving us in this way is so special. Thanks for sharing. He is beautiful.
