2 years ago you came into our lives and brought a sunshine that brightened even the darkest of areas. It was not hard to see that you were going to make your presence known and make sure that everyone saw you. For some reason I could not remember a lot of when Aidan was a baby so I could not do much comparing the two of you which I think was probably a good thing. You were and are your own little person. You are just as strong-willed as your brother (maybe even more) which always makes for some good battles between the two of you. You have always had a certain scream that always let me know if your brother has taken something away from you. You learned quickly that if you wanted to heard you would have to speak up and you have done just that. You have quickly learned words and continue to surprise us with the new words you pick up daily. It definitely keeps us all on our toes because we never know when you will repeat what we have just said. 
Aidan was so excited to buy you a birthday present this year. He knew exactly what he wanted to get you and went out with daddy to get them. Of course, I think the most favorite part for your brother (and you) was when he got to give them to you. Your favorite, the shovel! You even knew that Aidan gave it to you :) It definitely warms my heart to see the two of you give to each other and learn what it means to share. Obviously there is room for improvement but I will take what we have so far. 
Your Mimi and Pa came over for a "family" bday party on Saturday where you opened gifts from them and Auntie Heather and Unkie Matt. You were so thrilled with each gift that you received. I think at times you were a bit overwhelmed with the situation but nonetheless loved the attention and the presents. You were so good to share everything with Aidan. Aidan was so excited for presents too that sometimes he would just want to do everything for you. We will have another bday party to celebrate your bday and Aidan's bday when Nana, Papa, and Unkie Ben come for a visit. 
You picked pizza and cupcakes for your bday dinner and dessert. You were so excited all afternoon when you saw the cupcakes were made and ready. You kept asking for a cupcake but were patient enough to wait until after dinner when you promptly ate 2.
You truly are our baby...Happy Birthday Jaxon!

show us your presents! We can't believe you are two already! What a happy little boy you are and you bring such joy to us and those around you. Wish we could be there to celebrate with you but we will have another party when we come in July. Can't wait!
