I was able to join Aidan at preschool this past Friday for a Mother's Day Tea. He was so excited to have me come. I was excited and a bit anxious at the same time as I knew the class would be singing and we all know how well my boy loves to sing in front of others. Overall, he did great. He stood up with his class, did not sing but did not cry or freak out. In my books, that means success.
We made bracelets for each other, did a craft together, and he painted my nails. I think my favorite was having my nails painted. He was concentrating so hard. For his first time, he did great. I still even have the nail polish on my nails. I knew that it would have to stay on for awhile as he would notice if it was gone. Now, I kind of like it...it will come off eventually but there is no rush. It was a fun morning that I will remember forever. My little man has definitely grown up lots this year.

On Sunday, Aidan refused to have his picture taken with me so it was Jax and I. It was a good thing I got a picture with Aidan on Friday. I don't really understand Aidan's refusal to have his picture taken but I definitely don't take it personally. I hope one day he grows out of this no picture stage; however, we will work with what we get for now. There are a lot of things I don't understand about my boy, Aidan, but there is one thing I do know..... I LOVE him!
I feel blessed that I was given the responsibility of being Aidan and Jaxon's Mom. I would not trade it for anything. I pray that I will continue to be shaped and molded into the best mom for both of them.
Oh yeah, I LOVE Jaxon too!
