Time with Nana and Papa

This past week we had the privilege of having my parents here. It was great to have them here even if it was only for a week. Mom was a great help to me other than just playing with the boys. She cleaned my stove and fridge and folded laundry. It was great.
The weather wasn't the greatest so if we couldn't be outside playing we were playing ball inside. Both Nana and Papa got into the game and the boys loved every minute of it.
I am sure that the boys are going to go through withdrawal this weekend and next week as for a whole week they had their grandparents at their fingertips. The boys were in heaven having a full-time pitcher and outfielder. My parents were suppose to come several weeks ago, two weeks after my dad had shoulder surgery. However, the recovery process was taking a lot longer than anticipated so they postponed their trip. It was a good thing they did. This time dad was able to play with the boys. He had to be careful but he was a lot more mobile than if they had come earlier.
We kept ourselves busy with play-doh, sword fighting, baseball, hockey, golf, movies and more.
The movie Kung-Fu Panda 2 came out when my parents were here so off we went to the theatre. The boys are great at the theatre. They get their popcorn and drink and they sit through the entire thing. The movie was a hit and so were the swords my parents brought for the boys. They came out after we saw the movie and the boys have had a great time being dragon warriors.

The boys LOVE to play baseball right now. Papa was a great sport to pitch and play in the outfield. Both boys can hit the balls hard. Aidan keeps sending a couple over the fence and Jaxon has made several soar at the same time.
Jaxon always seem to get a home run or at least he thinks they are and Aidan waits patiently for Jaxon to hit him home.
Aidan even tried his hand at pitching to Jaxon.
Aidan is so focused and driven to run hard and hit the ball the best he can. In all the sport he plays he is this driven and focused. It is quite funny, actually. I am sure that we are hooped for when t-ball starts since he can already hit a ball off a pitch.
How precious is this moment. Aidan helping his brother with his helmet. I love it! They truly do love each other and love playing together. I can only hope that this continues as they get older.

Aidan got his bday present early this year. He needed a bigger bike and my parents said they would put money towards it. We went to Walmart one afternoon and came home with a bigger bike. He was trying the next size up from the little kid bike but we soon realized that it would be perfect for this year but with how fast he has been growing in height we weren't sure if it would last more than one year. So, they built the next size (18). It is on the bigger size but will last us a lot longer. He took his first spill and gave himself a good scab on his knee but we got him back on the next day. Eventually he will be riding without training wheels. I still can't believe how big the bike is compared to his first one.
Jaxon has not picked up the coordination of the bike peddles yet so he is sticking too his scooters. I am hoping with more time practicing and watching his brother he will pick it up in no time.
Thanks Mom and Dad for a great week of fun with you and for all you did for us. The boys loved spending quality time with you and we look forward to the next time we are together.
