Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

This picture was taken back when we got a really good snow fall. I had great intentions of making a Christmas picture/card out of it. However, since it is only two days before Christmas it doesn't look like it is going to be happening. If anything, maybe it will become a Happy New Year card :)

Our lives have been absolutely crazy this December and to top it all off Aidan has been diagnosed with a small bout of pneumonia and I have a doozey of a cold. Aidan started us all off with a cold/cough last Sunday and by Thursday evening his cough had changed. Jamie and I had been gone that evening at our ultrasound and hockey game so when we went to his parents to pick up Aidan he was awake and snuggling with grandma. When we were driving home Aidan was coughing....I didn't like the sound of it and decided I was not going to be able to sleep well that night not knowing was what wrong with him. Abbotsford does not have any walk-in clinics that are open after 11pm so off to the emergency room we went. By 2am we were finally driving home after a chest x-ray, plenty of sitting, diagnosis of pneumonia and a triage nurse telling me that we were not going to be able to fly on Christmas day if Aidan did not get better. Thankfully, the pneumonia is very small and only in his right lung. We have found out that we can fly the concern is just trying to keep Aidan away from any other sickos out there. Since he is sick his immune system is more succeptible to catching something else. we are now trying to keep him quarrentined until we leave.

We had our 18 week ultrasound on Thursday afternoon. They tell you ahead of time that you must drink 32oz of water an hour before your appt. I am sure I drank at least that much and on the way to Langley I was struggling. I couldn't even carry on conversation with Jamie. When I finally got called by the ultrasound technician I had gone to the bathroom twice. Before the tech could even start the ultrasound she told me I had to go to the bathroom again. I was relieved but at the same time I couldn't believe this was my third time to the washroom. Apparently the recommended amount of water is NOT necessary. I am assuming the the ultrasound went well. The technician did not offer up any information and I haven't heard from our midwife so I will stick by the slogan, "No news is good news." Baby Beck was being rather uncooperative in moving. He/she did not move much but seemed to be rather content to just be. I wouldn't be surprised if the tech was unable to detect the sex of this baby. I have started to feel this little one move more lately but it still is not a lot compared to Aidan.
I haven't really taken any pictures of myself lately so I don't have a prego picture to post. I will try to be intentional in doing so when we are in Michigan.
