This picture was taken on Father's Day. So, I suppose you could say that this is our first Father's Day picture as a family. Kind of funny to think of it that way. The realization that this little one is coming shortly is quite mind boggling but exciting all at the same. I can say though, that Jamie and I are very excited and are looking forward to this new journey.
Just a couple of nights ago Jamie got to feel the little guy have the hiccups. The hiccups lasted for quite awhile. It was really funy to watch as Jamie was getting a bit concerned that it wasn't stopping. At our midwife appointment Jamie was assured that it was normal for babies to have the hiccups and that it doesn't really bother them at all.
Like I said, we had our midwife appt. yesterday afternoon. Everything continues to look good. The baby beck's heartbeat is strong and healthy; my blood pressure is staying normal; and my stomach is measuring right on target. The babies positioning is still with his head down and his bum up near my ribs. He definitely is taking advantage of the space and stretching completely out.
The midwife gave us a video to watch together that contains a couple of different births. She said that it would be good for us to watch to prepare both of us for what lies ahead. She said that it would be really good for Jamie so that he can begin to recognize how some women respond to labor so that if I respond in some of the same ways he will be able to recognize it and not just think that I am dying :) I thought that it was a very wise thing for us to do. However, she reminded us that this is not exactly how it is going to be for me because each women is different because labor is different for each individual women. I am however, willing to watch and read anything and everything to better prepare myself for labor. Thankfully, Jamie is the same way. He wants to be prepared and ready for anything.
Well, that is all the baby updates I have for now. Jamie and I are going to try and pick out our paint color for the nursery so that we can get on that sooner than later. Once all is said and I done we will take pictures for all to see.

Ok Megs, you have to promise to tell me the gory details of this labour video. And the best part will be how Jamie reacts. Way to go Jamie, I say "kudos" for even saying you'll watch it cause I don't think jon would ever say any such thing :o).
Already seen that photo though dear cause it's on your mother-in-laws so that's kinda cheating. It doesn't really count and you owe us all another haha, just kidding.
