Snow....Now!!!!

As you can see we decided to take advantage of the snow last night. This was Aidan's first time in the snow. Some of you might be shocked by that but when we got the first big snowfall he had a pretty bad cold and I didn't want him to get worse and he was much smaller than and probably wouldn't have enjoyed as much as he did now. As you can tell he was enjoying every minute of it. At first I don't think he knew quite what to do with it and it was cold but because we had him all bundled up it didn't seem to bother him. Jamie even tried to get him to make a snow angel but it didn't work so well. He really fought laying down in the snow. It was rather amusing.
I can't believe that we got more snow last night and that it fell so hard and so fast. I was chatting with my family (in Michigan) when I noticed that it was snowing. By the end of our conversation it was completely white outside. I have come to recognize that I enjoy snow and the beauty of it as long as the roads are clear. If the roads are clear and it is a beautiful snowy day then that is fine but if the roads are nasty then I despise snow. I never was like this when I lived in Michigan. I didn't mind driving in the snow at all but since being here I get all nervous and anxious on the roads because of all the idiots on the road that decide to drive even more recklessly because of the snow conditions. And I suppose it is partly do to the fact that I have a son now. If it was just me driving around it might even be different. (I don't mean to offend anyone but it can be crazy out there on the roads). So for the moment I will continue to enjoy the layers of snow on the branches of the trees outside my house and the sparkly snow covered mountains.

What awesome pictures!!! Sure looks like he enjoyed the snow that's for sure! Good thing he did because we sure weren't impressed with driving in the snow after getting off the plane from Texas!! From 80 to 20 ......brrr!

It looks like Michigan. What fun memories. Aidan clearly seems to enjoy the snow, especially when he is with his Mom and Dad. We will have to sent you a picture of the snow dome in our back yard. Maybe next year Aidan will be able to climb in the snow dome in our back yard if we have one. Thanks for sharing these great memories with us . Love, Papa.................
