I Love Being a Mom!

Being my first official Mother's Day I have to say it was a real treat. After church we were planning on heading into Langley to go to the Olive Garden and then do some shopping. At the last moment, Jamie's parents offered to take Aidan for the afternoon so that we could enjoy an afternoon together. We were thrilled for the opportunity. It was a great time together. Thanks PaB and Mama B!In the evening we met up at Heather and Matt's house for Mother's Day dinner. We had a great bbq. Aidan even liked the ribs. Towards the end of the dinner he joined us and wanted to try something. At first he didn't want to touch the rib but at the end he couldn't get enough. We all had a good laugh. Like I said, "I haven't found a food he doesn't like yet."
Overall it was a good first Mother's Day.

Nana and Papa, this picture is for you. This was the first night he wore his new pj's. It was a warmer night and I figured it would be fine to wear his new summer pj's. I think he likes them. Aidan has been sleeping later in his afternoon naps lately which has been pushing his bedtime back a bit. At first I wasn't so sure if I liked that but then I realized that it would allow us to go for a evening walk after dinner. The weather has been gorgeous especially in the evenings and it is perfect walking weather.
I know this picture is on Mama B's blog but I loved it. He is such a little ham. Always likes to be the center of attention. Whenever we play cards he loves to have his own cards. Don't ever try to take his cards away from him....he has a temper...something we will have to work on. It's going to be interesting when he gets older and how we deal with his outbursts. I see lots of outbursts in our future:)

The pictures are great, happy mother's day (a little late, I know). Thanks for the reminder to take it one day at a time, I often get overwhelmed trying to figure out what the next couple of months are going to look like.

Thanks for the great picture of Aidan in his summer jammies.Does Aidan go for a walk in his jammies?
It's very apparent that you love being a Mom. We continue to thank the Lord for bringing your job opportunity to stay home with Aidan. I know some women say they get bored at home but I never have and I doubt you will either.

hey meg,
I work at ross tomorrow so if we could meet somewhere in town I will have longer but if you want me to come to your place that's fine. I will just be a little bit longer. Hey, why don't we meet at the bird santuary at about 3:45 or 3:50? would that work?

from now on I'm going to write on your facebook wall, is that ok? do you check it often? I just find it easier.
Anyway, the bird santuary is the one on the corner of the abby/mission highway and bateman road. There is a little dirt parking lot and then quite a few trails we can walk around once or twice. I quite liked when my mom and I walked there every morning.
See you tomorrow.

Megan & Jamie, I came to work earily today so I could make time to share a comment on your blog. Again, I can't thank you enough for helping to keep us up on how your lives are going and Aidan's new life adventures. It is hard being so far away, but a delight to see you all in pictures and stories of your life's journey. Aidan is such a ham. I can hardly wait to see you all. We will have to look for a new hat and more playing cards for him. We all are looking forward to your time here. Thanks again, Love Papa............
