Busy busy boy...

It has been awhile since I posted but I don't seem to have enough time in my day anymore. I also don't have too many pictures to add either. For some reason I am one of those bloggers that enjoys having pictures to go along with the post. We have had a good couple of weeks. Nothing too exciting to rave about just normal day-to-day things. Jamie has a couple more weeks before he has to head back to school. We were just talking last night that it seems like summer has blown past us and we don't really know what happened. We haven't done a lot of things to make it feel like a summer...reason being because when we got back from visiting my family that was the "end of summer" for me as I was then off maternity leave....and for him it seemed to mark the beginning because he had some his graduate summer classes before we left. Oh well, we have had fun in the things that we were able to do.

Aidan is almost turning 1!!! This Friday marks his first birthday! I can't believe it! It feels like not that long ago when we were bringing him home. Craziness I tell you.

The other night Aidan decided that he wanted to lug around Jamie and I's nalgene bottles. Let me first say that they both were about half full. So, they weren't light by any means. I am not sure why it was important to carry them at the same time but that was his goal. He had to concentrate soooo hard to do it. He couldn't go too far with both before he would drop one. You can tell by the picture that he is concentrating so hard.

I must say that he slept so good that night because he expended all his possible energies on carrying those silly water bottles. Silly kid. This past Sunday I decided to take Aidan to the first service at church. When we go to the second service it is right in the middle of when he is napping and if he doesn't get a nap before we go he is such a bear! I think that he loved it. He seemed great in the nursery and he was in a good mood afterwards and was still able to get a nap in before we headed over to Jamie's parents for lunch. I have always enjoyed second service because of the people that we get to chat with aftewards but I suppose that is a small sacrifice for Aidan to get the naps he needs. Who knows if he decides to go to one nap eventually then maybe we will can go back to second service. Who knows, now I have to convince Jamie to go to first service:) Wish me luck!

Great pictures Megs! You can really tell how hard he is concentrating to carry both bottles! Too funny!

Happy birthday Aidan! I hope you have many more blessed years.

Good luck with deciding which service to go to. It will bounce around between services over the next few years. The pics are great. Totally know what you mean with people wanting pics with each post. Gah. So high maintenance.

Nalgene bottle dumbbells? He is starting early to develop his masculine physique. Aidan and Uncle Ben will have one more thing in common, weight training classes. They can compare bicep measurements at Christmas. I think Ben is truly looking forward to his time at Thetis Island, and being closer to the sister. Love, Papa....................
