There's nothing cuter than experiencing the interaction between two brothers when they have no idea your watching. In those moments, I watched a little boy captivated by his brother....wishing he could be just like him....and the other loving being the "big" brother teaching his brother everything he knows.
Priceless......

In the last couple of weeks I have been able to document some priceless moments between Aidan and Jaxon. Now that it is just the three of us at home during the day Aidan is learning to interact more with his little brother. The other morning he decided it would be nice to read to Jax. I love in the picture how intent Jaxon is on his big bro.

Aidan was rather proud of himself. He has been so good with his little brother. I think he has begun to realize in the last two weeks he does not get me to himself anymore so he is learning to interact and "play" Jaxon.
Aidan has always loved to try to give Jax his soother....even if he doesn't even use it anymore. Jaxon thought it was hilarious the other day when Aidan kept trying to give it to him. I think he thought it was a fun game. Aidan was rather adamant that Jaxon needed to have it.
Aidan has always been rather gentle with Jax. He is seems to be aware of Jaxon wherever he is and tries to be careful. There have been a couple of times when he has thrown a ball and it has gone near Jaxon and before I can remind him to careful he seems to already know it.
Last night I asked Aidan if he would give Jax a kiss and I was surprised to hear him say "uh huh." So, we decided it was picture worthy. So cute!

Thanks to Auntie Jody and Unkie Darin Jaxon gets to experience a bumbo. Thanks guys! Just this week he is able to sit in it without leaning to one side. His head is definitely getting stronger. This week he is also starting to grab/hold toys which has been fun to watch.

Jods, recognize the outfit?? It was cold the other day and so out came some fall clothes. He looked so cute.......

My serious one! Jaxon is so funny....he gives us smiles all the time but as soon as the camera comes out and the red eye light comes one he is glued to it but won't smile. He also does not laugh easily. He is going to be one we will have to work hard for a laugh. I think he laughs sometimes but I don't necessarily recognize it as a laugh because it is not how Aidan laughed at this age. I am really trying not to compare them because they are their own individuals. Jaxon is definitely coming into his own more and more. He is as stubborn if not more so than Aidan. We definitely have our work cut out for us. But who wouldn't love this face???

Daddy and his boys. I loved this picture because of the expressions on both of the boys faces. Jaxon looks like he is in his own world and Aidan looks perturbed with me for taking the picture :)

Everyone in this house loves books!
The past two weeks has been good getting into our fall routine. Don't get me wrong....it is wonderful having Jamie home during the summer but for some reason routine and schedule just goes out the window. I love having routine with my boys. It seems to do wonders for them. Jaxon is doing well getting into a nap/awake routine and is doing well with being put down awake. He only cries for a little bit and then settles in for sleep. Aidan is not necessarily sleeping his entire nap time but doesn't seem to mind if he is in his room for awhile. I think that I will keep the "quiet time" and if he chooses not to sleep that is his choice. He normally goes into his room after lunch and that can be anytime between noon and 1pm. Sometimes he still sleep for at least 2 hours if not 3 and if he doesn't he is in his room for a couple of hours. Sometimes, if I am lucky, I get 1 hour to myself in the day. Well, I suppose its not 1 hour to myself but to do work uninterrupted. That does mean my house is left to look as if a hurricane has blown through but somethings just have to give.....playing with my boys is more important.

Wow - Jaxon is looking so big and so cute. He's really taking on his own look now too (although they still look like brothers!)
I am glad that Jaxon is liking the bumbo, it can be very helpful at times. I am also glad that the gift I got for Aidan can be used again. Caily and I were looking together at your blog and she kept saying baby when she would see Jaxon, rather cute.
Playing with your boys is always more important! Thanks for posting the pictures...they are awesome and it is sooooo fun to see Aidan and Jaxon relating to one another.
What great pictures! So cute to see Aidan and Jaxon interacting. I can't believe how they have both grown so much . WE are really looking forward to giving you all a squeeze Monday. Love ya, Mom
I too like the one of the boys with Daddy. They look like they're saying, "Um, hurry up and take the stupid picture." It made me laugh.
Great photos. Looks like you had a great time with your family here.
WE are missing you. Let's hang out soon. You will have to come and see our new house, when all the boxes are gone :o) which might be a while.
